Wall Removal & Open-Concept Conversions
Opening up a floor plan means more than knocking down a wall. We assess what’s load-bearing, bring in engineering and permits where needed, install the required beam or support, and finish the space so it looks like it was always open. We handle wall removal and open-concept conversions for homeowners and renovation partners across Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, and the GTA.

Common questions.
How do I know if a wall is load-bearing?
You usually cannot tell by looking. We assess framing direction, what sits above, and the foundation below, and bring in an engineer when structure is involved.
Do I need a permit to remove a wall in Toronto?
For load-bearing walls, yes. Non-structural partitions generally do not need one. We confirm either way before work starts.
How long does it take to open up a floor plan?
Non-structural walls can come out in a day or two. Load-bearing removals take longer for engineering and permits, and the build itself usually runs under a week.
